Also don’t sleep on the upcoming VOLiSports All Star Game. We will be making our announcements on venues and players very soon.
In our first game coverage of Prince George’s County Schools we noticed one thing different right off the bat… Speed… These players from Wise and Flowers get up and down the court and play above the rim. Wise was the most impressive High School Gym that VOLi has worked in. The capacity at the gym was for 5000 people.
The Wise boys team really out matched Flowers all night. Every time Flowers had the ball the pressure lead to turnover after turnover. Daryl Traynham lead all scorers with 17 points and really had the crowd going with two or three breakaway jams.
The girls game featured a Wise team that played suffocating defense which turned into easy points. Janay Borum was one of the most dominant players on the floor. She dropped in 18 points before she was dropped and knocked out of the game. She took a viscous screen and was tossed to the ground. Flowers had a tough player that night Lauren Brown that dropped 16 points in a losing effort.
