Sherwood Pulls Away at END!!!

It was a great game by two very good Montgomery County Schools.  WJ and Sherwood have very respectable records this year and the last time these two teams played Sherwood won 9-4.

Last night it was WJ that controlled the game leading the whole way, but Sherwood continued to keep the game close.  In the 4th quarter, Sherwood gained control of the game.  They broke a 6-6 tie with a goal and never looked back…

Week 8: Sherwood at Magruder (MC)

Friday Night at Marguder was a special evening.  It was the first night we had a chance to cover the best team in Montgomery County which is the Magruder Colonel’s (20-1 Overall). It was a rivalry game with Sherwood and it was the night they honored Spencer Datt #20.  Spencer Datt was in a vehicle last school year with 5 other friends who were in a terrible accident.  Spencer Datt 18, Haeley McGuire 18 and John Hoover 20 perished in the accident.  The Magruder team was very emotion and inspired for the game, as well as the fans.

Lets start with cross town rivals Sherwood vs Blake.  It was a great competition that included a chipped tooth and overtime.

DuVal has been a force this season and we expected them to handle Wise who seems to be experiencing a down year.  Well Wise had other plans for us.  They hung in all game and look to be headed in the right direction for a run as we are getting closer to the playoffs.
